EL AL ISRAEL AIRLINES OFFERS EXCLUSIVE PROMOTIONS FOR MATMID FREQUENT FLIER MEMBERS

EL AL, the national airline of Israel, is now offering three special promotions to benefit Matmid club members. Matmid points can now be used to further enhance the EL AL in-flight experience and there are more options to utilize points.

EL AL has extended the offer for Matmid members to pamper themselves, and save 20%, when upgrading their seat from economy to business or business to first class.  Passengers departing from New York (JFK/Newark) can now combine $250 plus 300 points (each way) and from Los Angeles, the cost to upgrade is $250 and 350 points (each way).

Through October 31, 2010, EL AL frequent fliers also have the ability to transfer Matmid points from one account to another for a small fee.  As a result, earning bonus tickets and upgrades is faster and easier. RELAXING TECHNIQUES ON FLIGHTS TO ISRAEL

These exercises are intended to provide a safe and healthy way of stretching certain muscles which may otherwise be tight as a result of sitting for any lengthy period of time.  Each exercise can easily be done from the comfort of any seat, without disturbing neighboring passengers. Exercises can be repeated as often as desired but should not be performed if there is difficulty or if pain occurs.

LEG JOINTS: Bring knee to your chest, keeping your back in an upright position. Rotate leg in small circles in each direction. Alternate legs.

SPINAL STRETCHES: Link your hands together and stretch your arms overhead. Bend to the right and to the left.

SIDE BENDS: Sitting straight up, place your hand on the opposite knee and twist your body in that direction. Repeat the same twist in the other direction.

BACK BENDS: Fold hands behind your head and stretch upward. Then, slowly roll your head down and around in a circle, rising slowly (and change directions).

Letzten August war ich fuer eine zu kurze Zeit in Israel. Wir waren in Jerusalem und in Tel Aviv, wobei ich von Tel Aviv nicht viel mitbekommen habe, weil ich am Abend. Es gab Frauen auf der Strasse! Wirklich! Und die meisten davon waren NICHT verschleiert!

WOW! Es gab Parkanlagen! Es gab Skulpturen, also oeffentliche Kunst! Ich wurde nicht von irgendwelchen Maennern die ganze Zeit begafft und angequatscht. Es gab normale Toiletten, und keine unhygienischen Loecher im Boden mit viel Fluessigkeiten rundherum, die die Hose ganz nass machten... Es lag nicht ueberall Muell in den Strassen! Kurz: Ich war wieder in der Ersten Welt.

Nach 2 Wochen im islamischen Raum war Israel die reinste Erholung...

A match made in heaven took place twenty-seven years ago when sparks flew between EL AL passengers Randy Arenson of Illinois and Howard Hoffman of Northern California.  In July of 1983, on Randy’s birthday, the two briefly met in the EL AL King David Lounge at JFK International Airport prior to their departure for Israel.  Both were participating in a Jewish Federation singles mission. On the aircraft, the two again instantly connected and spent most of the flight talking and enjoying each other’s company.

Once Randy and Howard arrived in Israel, their paths continued to cross.  Within a few days, they altered their itineraries to join each other’s tour and even extended their stay in Israel.  Upon returning home, they commuted between the San Francisco Bay area and Chicago. Nine months later, they married and three children followed.  This is the couple’s first trip to Israel since that first life-changing meeting.

 
The Hoffman’s join hundreds of other couples, either passengers or employees, who have met their spouses because of EL AL.  The warm hospitality passengers experience when flying EL AL makes everyone feel at home.
